One of our targets for the new year is to start running regular training sessions in the city centre to increase accessibility for our volunteers who do not drive. With this in mind, two of our committee members – Dan and Livi – have been training to become CFR trainers.

We attended the January CFR course in Barton Mills along with some of our new recruits to learn more about the course structure and delivery of the core training modules. On the final day we were trained to conduct assessments and were signed off as assessors for the adult module. We will be attending the next training session in March to be signed off as trainer assessors in the remaining modules also. It was a very useful course, both for our development as trainers and also as a chance to get to know our new recruits better.
